2022 WISCAR GROW AND LEARN INITIATIVE (GLIN)

The 13th stream of WIN 1 and 2 Mentees successfully organized and executed a 1-day mentoring session for girls in Secondary Schools under the WISCAR Grow and Learn Initiative (GLIN).

The Grow and Learn Initiative is a ‘’pay it forward’’ creation of the WISCAR Alumni body. It is borne out of a deep commitment to creating more opportunities to progress WISCAR’s ideals, add value to the younger generation of women who are currently in school and are looking forward to becoming successful in their current and future endeavours. The initiative serves as a platform for equipping young girls with real information while giving them access to mentors, who will share their wealth of experience with them.

In February 2022, we inducted these 33 young women who took deliberate steps to seek mentorship and capacity building to move their careers forward and upwards underwent a rigorous 12-month structured mentoring programme of one-on-one mentoring, masterclasses, career webinars, book reviews, and many more. We are extremely proud of them for their resilience, determination and growth. During the 2022 WISCAR Annual Conference, we welcomed them into the WISCAR Alumni community as we continue to engage with them on their journeys to the top and career success.

We are delighted to see our mentees paying it forward and confident that they will keep the WISCAR flag flying!
