A Tribute to Chief (Mrs.) Adenike Ebun Oyagbola: Celebrating a Trailblazer as She Passes At 93.
Chief (Mrs.) Adenike Ebun Oyagbola (née Akinola) was a pioneering Nigerian politician and diplomat, best known as the country’s first female cabinet minister. Born on May 5, 1931, in Igan-Alade, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, she dedicated her life to public service, education, public infrastructural improvements and the empowerment of women. She passed away on February 28th, 2025. Her remarkable journey is inspirational and in alignment with the core values of WISCAR (Women in Successful Careers). This

As the world unites to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 under the theme “Accelerating Action For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment” WISCAR (Women in Successful Careers) reaffirms its commitment to advancing gender equality and accelerating action towards women’s empowerment. This year’s IWD is particularly significant as it marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, an enduring global blueprint for achieving gender equality and women’s rights.
