She kicked started a vibrant revolution to transform and redefine the way Insurance is packaged and delivered in Nigeria, by developing products to give Enterprise Life a competitive edge; Leading the expansion of Enterprise Life Group into West Africa’s largest market, Nigeria; Forging strategic alliance and driving the overall corporate strategic goals to meet and exceed expectations of different stakeholders; Developing and maintaining systems through the company to ensure the best possible products and services are provided to their customers and that the company remains at the forefront in the industry.

She championed the first corporate brand transformation and digital transformation of African Alliance, a legacy institution, into a vibrant and a leading force in the Insurance industry, developed and successfully launched micro insurance as a Strategic Business Unit in African Alliance Plc and led the retail marketing unit to market unique and tailored retail products directly to customers, and achieved over 1000% growth in premium income within 3 years.

She pioneered the design of the annuity products of the company boosting the annuity product range of African Alliance Plc to become top 3 market player in the industry and pioneered the design, modelling and marketing of Takaful in African Alliance Plc. As the pioneer Family Takaful Office in Nigeria championed the design of the life administration application and supervised the transition of African Alliance Plc from semi-automated application usage to fully automated management; a change that saved the company countless man-hours, thereby improving efficiency and turnaround time.

She is the founder of “Funmi Omo Initiative” (FOI), a philanthropy focused on sponsoring female scholars from disadvantaged homes through university. She is passionate about helping young people, especially women, achieve their life goals. She coaches young career professionals, helping young professionals attain leadership through coaching and mentoring.

She served as a Member of the Board Audit Committee, the Board of Frenchies Food, the Board of PAL Pension, the Board of Ajaokuta Steel Complex, the Board of Axiom Air, and the Board of National Iron Ore Mining Company.

She was awarded and recognized as top 100 women CEOs in Africa by Reset Global People and Advance Media, listed and recognized by Leading Ladies Africa as top 50 Leading Ladies in Corporate Nigeria, received the Lagos State Governor’s Recognition on International Women’s Day for Leadership in Insurance, Lagos Business School recognition, as President, Advance Management Programme (AMP) 26.
