Sayo started her career in the Banking industry, before moving to EY where she has about 20 years of post-qualification experience.
She has extensive assurance experience with Financial Services clients on various engagements like Audit, reviews, agreed upon procedure amongst others.
She acted as an engagement partner and team member in various audits of insurance companies, banks and capital market operators, including, financial statements, due diligence and review engagements.
She coordinates the Learning and Development arm of the Financial Services sector. She is an ardent learner who loves to study wide and has a passion for mentoring young professional ladies to maximize their potentials and be the best they can be. She has done this over the years both formally and informally.
She holds a B.Sc. in Applied Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom, an MBA Finance from Edinburgh Business School, United Kingdom. She is a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Fellow, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and Alumnus, Lagos Business School.
She is married and blessed with 3 children.
The foundation of WISCAR was inspired by a keenly felt societal need. During her long professional and corporate career, the Founder; Mrs. Amina Oyagbola, constantly recognized a gaping need for an institutional framework that would provide to professional women inspiration, motivation, guidance, and support to help them better navigate their different career pathways.
