2023 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

WISCAR joined the UN Women and the United Nations in celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD), themed; DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality with Campaign theme #EmbraceEquity.

The aim of IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign is to get the world talking about why equal opportunities are not enough. True inclusion and belonging requires equitable action. A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society’s DNA.

The opportunities of the current digital revolution present a risk of perpetuating existing patterns of gender inequality if deliberate steps are not taken to bridge the digital divide. However, amidst all odds, women continue to make significant contributions to the digital world in which we live, work and play.

As part of our advocacy, through the month of March, WISCAR shared quotes from committed CEOs who have signed up their organizations to the Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs).

WEPs is a set of principles offering guidance to businesses, on how to integrate and promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community. Don’t get left behind, #EmbraceEquity. Sign up to WEPs today!
