SPECIAL FUNDRAISER FOR FEMALE CANDIDATES

In line with WISCAR’s mission of developing women to build a better nation, and the strong interest expressed by renowned global icon, and our 2022 Distinguished WISCAR Awardee, Ms. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie at the recently concluded 2022 WISCAR Annual Leadership and Mentoring Conference, on the urgent need to enable women’s political participation. WISCAR in collaboration with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie held a special fundraiser on Friday, January 13, 2023, to support credible female political candidates contesting in the 2023 General Elections. Special appreciation to all donors and collaborators who contributed in various ways to the success of this event. Of the candidates supported, a Senator has emerged. We congratulate Hajiya Ireti Kingibe and look forward to her significant contribution in the 10^th Assembly. We are sure she will make a huge and positive difference.
