Dear WISCAR Community,

WISCAR turns 13!

It is hard to believe that we are in our 13th year already. We spent some time in the new year as is customary at WISCAR reflecting on our growth and impact in 2020 and as an organization we couldn’t help but feel proud of all we were able to accomplish in such an unprecedented year. For many 2020 was perhaps the most paradoxical year in living memory challenging yet full of opportunity to do more by way of impact. It was a year that tested our resilience severely and in which many aspects of our lives were altered in various ways. With that being said it is an understatement to say we are grateful to have made impact in our community in more ways than one and we are set to do more this year, already kicking off January with mentee and mentor inductions for our 12th Stream of the WIN-with-WISCAR WIN 1 & 2 programmes.  We hope that you will visit the links and pages shared with you below to learn more about our work and our programmes for the year ahead.

COVID 19 REPORT – Between May and July 2020 WISCAR Launched 2 reports.

WISCAR and its partners designed and disseminated a survey to investigate and gain a better understanding of the impacts of COVID-19 on working women. Given its access to a community of working women across the professions and enterprise, WISCAR was uniquely placed to bring a local perspective to the growing global body of work on the effects of the pandemic on women. The report also takes a look on what UN Women terms a ‘shadow pandemic’ an increased risk of violence towards women and girls. Read survey-
