In line with WISCAR’s mission of developing women to build a better nation, and the strong interest expressed by renowned global icon, and our 2022 Distinguished WISCAR Awardee, Ms. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie at the recently concluded 2022 WISCAR Annual Leadership and Mentoring Conference, on the urgent need to enable women’s political participation. WISCAR in collaboration with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie held a special fundraiser on Friday, January 13, 2023, to support credible female political candidates contesting in the 2023 General Elections.

2022 WISCAR GROW AND LEARN INITIATIVE (GLIN)
The 13th stream of WIN 1 and 2 Mentees successfully organized and executed a 1-day mentoring session for girls in Secondary Schools under the WISCAR Grow and Learn Initiative (GLIN). The Grow and Learn Initiative is a ‘’pay it forward’’ creation of the WISCAR Alumni body. It is borne out of a deep commitment to creating more opportunities to progress WISCAR’s ideals, add value to the younger generation of women who are currently in school and are looking forward to

INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW The 2021 Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR) Annual Leadership and Mentoring Conference was successfully held from the 23rd through to the 27th of November 2021. The theme for the conference “PLAYING BIG; TIME TO TAKE OUR PLACE’’ was explored virtually and physically and showcased 3 events over 4 days with over 1600 (One Thousand Six Hundred) delegates in attendance at the various events from across Nigeria, the Continent, and the diaspora.
