PREMISE Nigeria’s political arena is challenging for women due to the cultural, social, structural and institutional barriers and limitations. UN GLOBAL COMPACT LOCAL NETWORK
The UN Woman Global Compact Local Network hosted a CEO breakfast roundtable and formally launched its Africa Strategy. A high-level panel that included WISCAR Founder/Chairperson and other distinguished CEOs discussed the theme; The Private Sector: The Exigency of its Collaboration to the Sustainability of Africa. While the driving force for the UNGC is hinged on the 17 SDGs and the 10 Business Principles it was agreed that the strategic focus for business in Africa ought to be Goals 5, 8,

WISCAR joined the UN Women and the United Nations in celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD), themed; DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality with Campaign theme #EmbraceEquity. The aim of IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign is to get the world talking about why equal opportunities are not enough. True inclusion and belonging requires equitable action. HIGH-LEVEL ADVISORY COUNCIL (HLAC)
Mrs. Amina Oyagbola was on Thursday, February 16, 2023, appointed as Member of the High-Level Advisory Council (HLAC) to support Women and Girls, by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
